Breathwork for the Joy of Life

with Special Guest Katie Mac

Fri July 8th, 2022

Accessing and experiencing joy is something we all naturally adore and is our birthright. Imagine experiencing a process that allows for the tapping into a channel of joy through breathing. Think about the parts of life that could stand in the way of joy; lack of sleep, suffering in the world, an inner critic, pain, financial worries, stress, low confidence, and fear. MindBody Breathwork is a process that releases these blocks so your mind-body-breath connection becomes free to feel the inherent joy within.

Though we do not have to worry about remembering to breathe, we do need to make sure we have functional breathing habits. During our time together we are going to clarify the difference between functional and dysfunctional breathing. I will teach you easy techniques to improve breathing capacity and regulate your nervous system. Then we will use the breath to transform the energetic imprint present in the mind-body connection. This will transmute energetic blockages or stagnation into free energy allowing you to access your joy. There are no prerequisites to join. Come as you are and take what you need.

Benefits of MindBody Breathwork:

  1. Removes free radicals which can cause ageing and disease
  2. Reduces tissue swelling
  3. Increases neuronal energy metabolism in the brain which allows our brains to keep its plasticity
  4. Can create sustained cognitive improvement
  5. Wakes up sleeping (idling) brain cells that are metabolising enough to stay alive but are not actively “firing”
  6. Enhances the body’s ability to fight bacterial and viral infections
  7. Deactivates toxins and poisons (e.g., side effects from some chemotherapy, spider bites, air pollution, etc.)
  8. Created a deeper sense of connectivity to your life force energy
  9. Effective process for letting go of stored emotional energy trapped in the body

**Participants are asked to bring: a yoga mat, a full body blanket, (you may also want something under your head or knees to be comfortable on the ground- a rolled up towel works well), an eye mask (optional), a water bottle, & your favourite journal.

**Note that this event is outside. We will host the event inside if need be, with a limited number of seats. For those who purchased past the maximum, there will be a waiting list. So let’s hope for good weather!

Katie Mac finds joy in discovering things she has yet to discover. Her sense of adventure, courage, and love for experimenting has given her a multifaceted understanding of wellness. Her passion lies within the power of the mind, body, and breath connection. Katie specialises in re-engineering limitations obstructing the coherence between heart and mind. Her methods use re-engineering core beliefs and using multi-disciplinary breath techniques to consciously program the subconscious. Katie’s signature approaches are MindBody Belief Work and MindBody Breath Work. They are transformational processes that empower, expand, and integrate the whole self.

Over the past 15 years, Katie has worked with individuals privately and in groups. Her own mind has become programmed to believe in possibility and to expect miracles. She has a background in Sports Medicine, Strength & Conditioning, Core Belief Engineering, Integral Breathwork, and Bodywork. Her current memberships are Academy of Naturopaths & Naturotherapists of Canada, National Strength & Conditioning Association (NSCA), asl well as the Canadian Massage & Acupressure Therapists Association (CMATA).

Katie offers an online Mindbody Breathwork monthly membership and private mentoring sessions. She can be reached via her website at: www.katiemacwellness.com.

Laurie’s classroom teaching career ended when Lyme Disease entered her body, and she became an artist born of healing when Lyme went to the brain. All of the art on the Safe Haven web page is Laurie’s. She became acutely aware that there is a deep connection between flow and the healing of the brain and body.

She created a modality called “Creative Mindfulness” to help connect to the unconscious and its truth through the magical gateway of calm in the relationship between mindfulness, creativity & guided questioning. She has worked with many women both personally and in groups to help guide them in accessing their truth to consciously design positive and joyous changes in their life.

Understanding the power of connection to like-minded women, Laurie was called to create a gathering place for women to connect, reflect, find clarity and recharge which she has named Safe Haven. With Laurie’s modality called Creative Mindfulness, art, workshops, consultations, collaborations, and programs, she creates “sanctuary during life’s storms.” Helping women to remember the magic of who they are, helping to guide them to where they want to be, holding space for the connection of like-minded souls, and allowing women to share their gifts with one another is Laurie’s mission at Safe Haven.

Laurie’s art and Creative Mindfulness courses can be found at- www.omcreativebymariel.com and on Instagram, Facebook & Etsy at omcreativebymariel.
